IMPORTANT ISSUES
"Together we can create a better Rosenberg moving forward with more local jobs, shopping and superior city services. With over 30 years experience in the construction industry, I know what it takes to find solutions to difficult situations."
Property Taxes

I'm proud to have voted for 2 City Property Tax reduction which passed by a majority vote of City Council. Even thought the discount is not large it represents a new vision. This is a significant because the property owner's were consider priority and not city government.

Sure the city government needs money but it's the property owners' money so I will do everything possible to make sure that the citizens and not the city are most benefitted from future tax surplusses. The city has big challenges which require large amount of investment but my primary goal is to make sure that all monies are wisely invested to benefit the greater number of citizens.

Railroad Quiet Zone

One of the main concerns and complaints of residents in District 1 is the increasing amount of railroad traffic and noise polution of blasting train horns at all times. It's becoming a nuissance for residents and businesses.

Fortunate, there's a solution. It's called a quiet zone.  The city government can invest in equipment at intersections that will stop the trains from blasting the horns.

I am the frontrunner on this issue. I have met with railroad companies and was recently nominated to the Fort Bend Quiet Zone Commision. It will be a matter of time before the city goes silent which will benefit not only the residents of District 1 but everyone throughout the city.

Term Limit

This was one of the main issues on my first campaign. This City Council with my support will provide the voters of the city a Term Limit proposition in the May 9, 2015 Election. I fully support the proposition and encourage every voter to approve it.

One-Way Pairs

The TxDot proposed conversion of Ave. H and I into one-way has polarized the businesses and citizens of Rosenberg like no other issue in the last 20 years. Unfortunate for the citizens these roads are under the jurisdiction of TxDot and they have the final decision.

I heard comments from hundreds of citizens and the vast majority opposed it. I proudly supported the 2 petitions that were submitted to City Council. Voted for the special election allowing the voters of Rosenberg to decide if city owned property should not be donated towards the project. The voters overwhelmingly supported the resolution.

After further enquire into the sentiment of the voters, I came to the conclusion that voters don't want the project. I fully support the wishes of the voters and voted for a resolution to not sell the city owned property to TxDot.

Growth and Development

I'm pro development. As a Director of the Rosenberg Development Corporation it's my goal to provide greater living,  employment and business opportunities for our citizens.

The City of Rosenberg has a bright future. The large amount of vacant land along with an aggressive development program is poised to create an unpresedented growth and opportunities.
